Photographer’s career
The moment is one-time, wonderful, unrepeatable, yet continuous. What do I mean by that? We are part of nature. Cities have swelled in recent centuries and unfortunately, we have less and less contact with the surrounding nature. The task of the nature photographer is to present the wonderful world around us (landscape, animals, plants, events), its beauties.
You have to catch the moment, you have to live it. This is only possible if you are there in the woods, in the field, on the lake shore, in the reeds, on the hilltop, you have your equipment with you and you become part of nature. The moment is also continuous, because a miracle can happen at any time. You have to be prepared to pass on the charm of the moment.
What is needed to take a good nature photo? Technical knowledge, proper equipment and a big amount of luck. I was inspired as a child in my family as a “wing helper” for my nature photographer uncle. As an adult I expanded my knoweledge in Sándor Zsila’s and Tamás Imre’s photography school. I got into today’s digital age through analog photography.
A good photo is a matter of luck. I really like birds and I want to capture their special behaviour, that is the challange for me. Sometimes you sit in ambush for days and wait in vain for the animals without any results, but there is also a situation where they show up completely unexpectedly, when you have to act immediately, so you have to be constantly alert, watching, which is extremely tiring and exciting at the same time. At any moment you can meet the deer, or the so craved lighting arrives and just then the bird descends or the fox arrives from the reeds on the lake shore. The magic is around us, with us.
As a high school teacher specialized in biology and physical education, I drew the attention of young people to the love of nature and the importance of environmental protection.
I feel that nowadays, when almost everyone takes photos, at least with their mobile phones, it is the duty of the hungarian nature photography team to “take” people into nature, to show the beauty, the specials, the unforgettable, and to shape the photographer’s taste with great pictures.
I try to do this myself, so far I have presented my works in eleven solo exhibitions, I have mainly shown the behavior, habits and movements of birds.
I am a member of several associations, the Wildlife Hungarian Nature Photographers Association, the Fényecset Photo Club Association and the Hungarian Ornithological Association.
